Monday: Baked Ziti, Caesar Salad and Garlic Bread
Last week threw me off schedule with JB's surgery so the kids and I had pizza that night and moved everything back a day. So tonight we are having what we should have had on Saturday. You can find a link to the recipe at The Happy Housewife.
Tuesday: Tuna Casserole and Butternut Squash
This night has to be extremely easy and something that Legs can do on her own incase I am not home at a decent hour to fix dinner. We start our "away from home activities" at 1:00 with Lego Club then onto Girls Group at 3:30, followed by baseball practice at 5:00 and finally Cub Scouts at 7:00. This is just boiled egg noodles, a can of tuna (drained), one can each of cream of celery and cream of mushroom soup and frozen peas. Steam peas while noodles are cooking. Drain noodles, return to pan and add all other ingredients and stir.
Wedneday: Chicken Spaghetti
This is what is on the menu for dinner at church this week. I have another busy day with two appointments so eating at church will be our best choice.
Thursday: Slow Cooker Chili
We have to eat early tonight because Lil Man has his first baseball game of the season. This recipe can be found at Mommy Hates Cooking.
Friday: Breaded Tilapia, Seasoned Potatoes and Green Beans
Late dinner tonight due to another baseball game but it is pretty quick to put together. The Breaded Tilapia recipe and Seasoned Potatoes Recipe can both be found at Mommy Hates Cooking.
Saturday: Birthday Dinner out
Sunday is my actual birthday but my parents will be up to visit and see the Legs bowl and Lil Man play another game today so we are hoping around all that we can go out to eat to celebrate.
Sunday: Leftovers
I think I will leave this up to Legs or JB since I am sure to crash after church or another day at the ball fields.

Menu Plan Mar. 14-20
Monday: Southwestern White Chili served with cornbread or Fritos or tortilla chips
I got this crockpot recipe during a MNO recently. I will post the recipe later.
Tuesday: Cheesy Hot Dog Casserole served with butternut squash
This is a child-friendly recipe.
Wednesday: Crockpot BBQ Chicken and Cornbread Casserole
Another crockpot recipe from the aforementioned MNO. I will post this recipe at another time. I chose this because JB is having out-patient surgery and I needed to not think about dinner prep.
Thursday: Honey Dijion Tilapia served with green beans and a garden salad. And for dessert we are going to have Shamrock Drops with green ice cream.
The Honey Dijion Tilapia can be found at Mommy Hates Cooking and the Shamrock Drops recipe can be found here.
Friday: All Day Salsa Chicken served with rice pilaf and mixed veggies
This recipe is another of my easy crockpot favorites and can be found in this 101 More Things to do with a Slow Cooker.
Saturday: Baked Ziti served with Caesar salad and garlic bread

Thirteen and Three
To end the month of February, we had a combo family birthday party for Legs (13) and Chubbles (3). We had a houseful of good fun and tummies full of good food. The cake was split in two with horses and Elmo.
Farm-themed Birthday Party
I have always wanted to do a farm-themed birthday party. We start letting the kids have a party with their friends only (no siblings) at age 3. I started looking around at my option for Chubbles and came across the party option at Sprouts Play Cafe in Owasso. It was a perfect setting because the whole place is decorated in a farm theme.
They were very reasonable and it only cost me $50 since there were five little girls there. Sprouts provided the decorations, goodie bags, gift for the birthday child, entertainment and craft all in my price. All I had to provide was the invitations and cake. The best part, no cleaning the house beforehand and no clean-up afterward.

Feb Girls Group Meeting
Lil Red went to her monthly Girls Group meeting. This month they made bookworms to be used as bookmarks. A very cute project!
As part of the meeting, we walked to the local library to donate some books and on the way, the girls picked up trash. We ended the walking field trip at a local shop called Scoops and Grinds where each girl got a scoop of ice cream.

Blue & Gold Banquet
In February, we had Lil Man's Blue & Gold Banquet with his Boy Scout pack. We had a yummy lunch where they served bbq brisket and smoked salmon. Lil Man was also awarded his belt loops for BB Gun Shooting and Badminton.
The highlight of the banquet was the cake auction. Each scout and their dad had to bake and decorate a cake without any help from the females in the house. I was pretty proud of my men. They ended up with a pirate ship on the cake.

Homeschool Valentines Party
The huge snowstorm at the beginning of the month moved our homeschool co-op party back to February 19th. The team of moms of who planned and hosted this party did a great job!
