Monday: Chicken Nugget Casserole
I originally had this plan for last Friday but a freak electrical problem that took out a huge area caused me not to be able to cook. We had pizza instead.
Tuesday: Taco Casserole
Wednesday: Mini Meatloaf Muffins
Thursday: 7 Can Soup
Friday: Chicken Enchiladas
Saturday: Waffles
Sunday: Leftovers if we don't attend a Super Bowl party

Time4Learning Review
I've been invited to try Time4Learning for one month in exchange for a candid review. My opinion will be entirely my own, so be sure to come back and read about my experience. Time4Learning can be used as a primary homeschool curriculum, as part of an eclectic homeschooling method, or as an afterschool tutorial. Find out how to write your own curriculum review for Time4Learning.

Calendars Are a Necessity
I have been buy this evening getting a little more organized. I am an organizaholic! I always start out well but loose steam somewhere that I have not figured out yet. This was brought on today by not being ready to sit down and do our taxes. Never mind that we do not have all of our 1099s.
I just downloaded simple calendars from Donna Young.
I saved three to my desktop. One is for me to keep track of anyone in our family that goes to the doctor, dentist, or hospital. It is a chore to remember who went when and why and what was the treatment. It will be a diary of sorts.
The second one is for me to record when one of JB's clients pay him and how much. We were relying on our brain to remember if and when someone paid and a couple of times last year, we would ask a client and they would come back and tell us that they had paid us and the check had cleared the bank. Oops, that was embarrassing so I had to come up with a different but easy solution.
Another one is more for JB. I am saving it on my computer but then printing out each month as needed. Before I print it out, I am typing in all activities from the family calendar. Now he will have a visual in front of him at his office. Now, if only I could manually turn his head to actually look at it and remember what is going on.

Cutest Play Kitchen
Seriously, this is the cutest play kitchen I have ever seen. I would have died to have one like this as a child. Now I want to hit up my dad to make one for Chubbles for next Christmas.
You can see an entire blog post about it at the following link:

Where are those clothes?
Look at the picture below carefully. We got all the kids' laundry caught up this weekend and while watching a movie, I finished folding it all. Ignore the clothes across the top, they either need to be hung up or they are waiting to be put in a storage box. I am focusing on the stacks of folded clothes.
I am actually concerned with the stack on the right, Lil Red's clothes. Did you notice that her stack is much shorter? No, she doesn't have less clothes than the other three and yes, she changes everyday just like the other three, so why does she not have as many when we get done?
I have a inkling of where they may be. We will be pulling out the two huge boxes of dress-up clothes later today in search of clothes. Lil Red loves playing dress-up and when she does, she just flings her regular clothes. When it is time to pick-up, she will scoop up ALL clothes and put them in the boxes. I bet I find some long lost clothes today.

Menu Plan Jan 24-30
Monday: Popcorn Shrimp with Mac & Cheese
This is an easy one with frozen shrimp and boxed mac & cheese. I will be out with some friends and JB will be in charge of dinner.
Tuesday: Pizza Pasta Casserole
I am not sure where this recipe came from but I do know I found it on a freezer cooking site
Wednesday: Chicken & Dumplings
Lil Man has the croup so we may not make it to church where they are serving Chicken & Noodles. Since we had a version of this two weeks ago, I decided on a different chicken dish. I got this recipe from my friends Dori and Sarah.
Thursday: Goulash
I got this from the Hearts at Home forum.
Friday: Chicken Nugget Casserole
This comes from Hillbilly Housewife
Saturday: Roast with Potatoes and Carrots
Another of my favorites from Fix It and Forget It
Sunday: Leftover or Sandwiches

Menu Plan for Jan 17-23
Monday: Chili
I found this recipe at Mommy Hates Cooking and it is actually called Slow Cooker Chili

Another recipe from Fix It and Forget It cookbook. It's original name is Chicken In A Pot
Wednesday: Stew and Cornbread
Dinner at church
Thursday: Breaded Tilapia
Another wonderful recipe from Mommy Hates Cooking

Most likely I will pick this up from Papa Murphy's on the way home from dance since I will be minus one child and JB. They will be at an in-house church retreat all weekend.

Another child friendly recipe from Mommy Hates Cooking that uses the leftover chili from Monday.

Menu Plan Jan 10-16
I have missed my blog for a couple of weeks. I have been busy recovering from the holidays and then I started a new chore "system" with the kids last week so that took some time to get used to and tweak as needed. I hope to blog about that soon.
This week I had the urge to post my meal plan for the week on Facebook and someone said that they liked it so much that they want me to post every week. I decided what a great idea but I will post it here first and then link it to other sites as well.
Monday: Potato Cheese Soup
I have never made this particular dish before but found a relatively easy recipe on Cooks.com.
Tuesday: Taco Soup
This recipe can be found in Fix It and Forget It. It is actually called Taco Soup with Black Beans
Wednesday: Chili Cheese Dogs
We eat at church on Wednesday nights and this is was the posted menu for the week
Thursday: Chicken Noodle Soup
I don't remember where I got this recipe but I found it when I was looking for soup mixes in jars to make for Christmas gifts. The original recipe is actually called Turkey Noodle Soup Mix.
Friday: Baked French Toast
This recipe comes from a children's cookbook called Junior Cookbook Collection Let's Have Breakfast. I don't remember when or where I bought this but it had to be over 10 years ago and I can not find anything on the internet about it.
Saturday: Baked Pork Chops
Okay, I go easy on this day and use the Shake n' Bake product for the chops and a boxed Au Gratin Potatoes.
Sunday: Sandwiches/Leftovers
We almost always have a big lunch at a local cafe with JB's dad after morning service so I do not like for us to have another big meal on the same day. Also, we are usually at evening service at dinner time so I don't want us eating heavy right before bed either.
I like to start my menu plan each week on Monday and had the hardest time finding a form I liked but I finally found one at Lots of Kids. I don't print a new one each week. I printed off one and then put it inside a page protector, attached it to the inside of my kitchen cabinet and use a dry erase marker to write in the meals. After making my plan on Sunday night or early Monday morning, one of our chores is to go grocery shopping for the week.
